The project

Relaunch of the official THW Kiel fan shop: Migration from WooCommerce to Shopify, with clear information architecture, mobile-friendly UX, and a configurator for jersey personalization with live preview. The goal was a brand-consistent, fast shopping experience—from navigation to checkout—including a robust system connection and measurability for continuous optimization.

The challenge

A shop for two user worlds: fans need to find the right product in a flash, while power users need to navigate specifically using filters and variants. At the same time, the entire database (products, variants, customers) had to be migrated without loss and transferred to a stable Shopify structure. The SAP connection had to keep inventories/processes synchronized without any breaks in the checkout process. The live personalization of the jerseys had to be high-performance and error-resistant on mobile devices. And all this had to be done within a strict black-and-white brand framework—measurable via a clean consent and tracking setup.
